The studio, workspace and office of Jason Sweeney: musician, composer, sound-artist, experimental filmmaker – with a rigorous and complex practice in the field of hybrid media and performance.

In 2005 he co-founded the film company, Unreasonable Films .

To survive as an Australian artist, the key is to forge sustainable collaborations and establish solid networks of creative comrades, far and wide. Jason is certainly connected to a network of artists, nationally and internationally, who form a wide community of hybrid artists, pirate broadcasters, DIY creative kids, net nerds, unreasonable adults and online activists.

Whether it be a work made online, an electronic sound-score for live performance or recording, a screen-based work, short film or installation, his interest lies here: in challenging these notions of intimacy and distance, desire and loss, melancholy and musicality.
